Donald Tusk called for a conversation between the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

Because diplomacy has produced no results, I publicly address the Presidents for a direct and honest conversation. Before emotions ruin our solidarity, which was born in the face of the Russian threat.

Cooperation is in the interest of both our states and peoples, and the conflict serves Moscow's interests. That is probably obvious to all of us.

The Prime Minister of Poland referred in the same way to the tensions between Poland and Ukraine that arose after the decision to name the Independent Special Operations Center "North" after the "Heroes of the UPA".

As recently informed by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the head of the Ministry of National Defence, "the decision to name a Ukrainian military unit after the heroes of the UPA" causes deep pain in Poland, concern and opposition.”

Karol Nawrocki, in response to information coming from Ukraine, threatened to remove the Order of the White Eagle from Zelensky.
