A cold shower for the market, a repeat from entertainment
The market dislikes uncertainty, and the Warsaw gaming giant can surprise even the most experienced market players. The recent sharp declines in share prices sparked a wave of speculation and unease among investors. However, looking at the share price and the history of the Warsaw studio, everything becomes clear. Historically (not hysterically), we have seen similar stock price acrobatics for CDR during the official announcement of the game The Witcher 4 – at that time Red's shares also experienced a painful dip.
The market often operates on the classic rule of “buy rumors, sell facts” and a temporary, even deep correction does not erase the long‑term fundamentals of the company.
It is worth citing hard analytical data. On February 27, 2026, Tomasz Rodak, a recognized expert from BOŚ Brokerage House, issued an official recommendation for CD Projekt of “hold”. At the time of its creation, the share price was exactly 249.20 PLN.
Interestingly, the target share price was set by the expert at 270 PLN, and in April 2026 the share price reached 292 PLN. This shows that the calm of institutional experts clearly contrasts with the nervous panic of small investors who press the “sell” button too quickly.
CDR share price after the market closed on June 1 fell by 2.88% and on June 2 before the market opened it was 225.90 PLN.

“Songs of the Past” – not a DLC but a real monster
The key to CDR’s rebound is the scale of the latest officially announced project. During recent investor meetings, studio representatives completely dispelled all doubts about the upcoming expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
This will not be a few new quests, but a full-fledged expansion for Witcher 3, the size of “Blood and Wine”
- confirmed firmly Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD Projekt.
For financial markets and for millions of players worldwide, this is a powerful, electrifying announcement. Such a clear declaration means tens of hours of new, top‑quality content, completely unique locations, and deep, complex storylines that match the best moments of the cult “trio.”
Michał Nowakowski also emphasized that the entire project is currently in a very advanced production phase. About 190 experienced developers are involved, and close collaboration with esteemed specialists from Fool’s Theory will guarantee the highest quality execution.
The return of Geralt after more than a decade will be a great adventure and a sentimental journey before handing over the symbolic staff of Ciri in the upcoming Witcher 4
- adds Nowakowski.

Lesson from the past and good news for investors
In industry backrooms, hot rumors have been booming for months, primarily from Borys Nieśpielak and Remigiusz Maciaszek of the Rock&Borys podcast. It turns out that leaks about the planned release of the Songs of the Past expansion in 2026 were entirely true. However, the board made a difficult but fully business‑justified decision. Redzi consciously decided to delay the market debut to polish the content and deliver the great story in even better, uncompromising technical quality.
For investors, this is a clear signal that the Warsaw studio learned lessons from the loud and catastrophic release of Cyberpunk 2077, which cost the company not only millions in losses but also a loss of reputation. They rebuilt it through systematic work and delivering successive promises, so today Redzi prefer to lose a few months than risk another image disaster.
The market teaches patience, and Geralt’s return could bring huge profits for those who did not succumb to temporary panic.
