CD Project, Allegro, Żabka, and Orlen Positive

On the Warsaw Stock Exchange, large companies that stood out positively included the shares of CD Project, Allegro, Żabka, and Orlen. On the opposite side of the market were PZU and KGHM, which lost 2.89% yesterday amid weaker copper prices.

The most important global factor influencing Tuesday’s session was pressure on the entire technology sector. The impetus for the worsening sentiment worldwide was investors’ reaction to Samsung’s results, which, despite a very strong profit growth, did not allay concerns about whether AI‑related company gains will be sustainable.

          SanDisk -7.26%, AMD-6.51%, Micron -4.71%

The sentiment could be felt in Europe, where the DAX fell 1.37% and the CAC40 dropped 0.51%.

At the same time during Tuesday’s session we observed a renewed rise in oil prices after negative reports from the Strait of Hormuz.

The weakness in the semiconductor sector also weighed on the United States, where the S&P 500 ended the day down 0.45% and the tech Nasdaq fell 1.16%.

The biggest discount was recorded by Intel, whose shares fell 9.66%.

SanDisk also lost heavily, down 7.26%, AMD, which lost 6.51%, and Micron, which finished the day down 4.71%.

An additional burden was the rise in bond yields, which lowered risk appetite.

The most important event on Wednesday will be the Monetary Policy Council’s decision on interest rates.

The market will analyze not only the decision itself but also the post‑meeting statement for signals about the future direction of monetary policy.

Along with the statement, the results of a new inflation report will be released. That same evening, a protocol from the June Federal Reserve meeting will be published, showing how members assess inflation outlook, the labor market, and future interest rate changes.
