WIG20 closed the day at 3690.01, up 0.42%. WIG rose 0.37%, mWIG40 0.34%, while sWIG80 fell 0.16%. In sector terms banks supported the market, with the clothing sector standing out, gaining 2.17% on Monday. Macro data released during the Monday session supported a picture of mild improvement in activity in Europe and a stable, though slightly slower, dynamic in U.S. services. In Germany industrial orders rose 1.9% month‑on‑month in May, above the consensus of 1.5% and after a 3.2% drop the previous month. In the U.S. the ISM services index fell to 54.0 in June from 54.5, remaining clearly above the 50‑point threshold that separates expansion from contraction. On foreign markets the session did not provide a clear direction on the main indices. The German DAX ended the day with a modest rise and a new high, helped by better‑than‑expected industrial data. On Wall Street sentiment was noticeably better, with the S&P 500 up 0.72% yesterday and the Nasdaq Composite up 1.12%. The semiconductor segment performed particularly well, supported by Broadcom shares after positive news about extending its partnership with Apple.

The Tuesday session in Europe may start in a more cautious environment, despite the positive close on Wall Street. This is due to deteriorating investor sentiment in Asia, where after Samsung’s earnings forecast the market began to question the sustainability of the current trend in the memory and AI infrastructure market. The most important macro release for European investors will be May industrial production in Germany. Consensus expects a 0.2% month‑on‑month increase after a 0.4% rise the previous month.
