The performance of domestic indices matched what we observed on foreign exchanges. The German DAX fell 1.62%, and the French CAC40 dropped 0.95%. Meanwhile, on Wall Street, the discount mainly affected technology companies that had been gaining heavily in recent days. Supply focused especially on semiconductor company stocks. Investors were taking profits from previous days. Yesterday, investors also learned about the pace of price growth in the world’s largest economy.
In April, US CPI inflation was 3.8% YoY, compared to 3.3% YoY in March. The result indicated a significant acceleration of prices but was largely expected by the market (consensus 3.7% YoY). Core inflation rose 2.8% YoY from 2.6% YoY in March. The price acceleration, like in March, is due to higher fuel prices caused by the Middle East conflict. US prices are increasingly far from the Fed’s inflation target. The data released yesterday put the Fed, and especially new Chair Kevin Warsha, in a difficult position. Just recently, the market priced in the moment when the Fed would return to easing monetary policy. Now, with the ongoing geopolitical impasse and high inflation, the scenario in which the Fed not only keeps rates high for longer but may also be forced to raise them again gains importance. The dollar strengthened clearly on the back of this data.
Today’s data calendar will continue with the release of final inflation figures. This time France will publish its estimates, where initial data indicated an acceleration of the HICP dynamics to 2.5% YoY from 2.0% in March. Today will also publish the revised Q1 GDP for the euro area (0.8% YoY).

Ten Square Games The Ten Square Games conference plans a global launch of the game "Medal Hunter" in May or June – as shown in the company presentation at the conference. CEO Andrzej Ilczuk indicated that the company will base development on a rigorous validation system for new games and prototypes.
• "'Medal Hunter'" is our newest project. This project is being developed under our new development model (...). It is a mobile PVP shooter (player versus player) with a military theme. For us, this title is very important for many reasons. First, it tests this model. Is it repeatable, should we continue using it? At the moment it seems so. Second, it transfers proven gameplay to a new, much wider segment of military games" – CEO Andrzej Ilczuk said.
• "What is very important, for example, in the case of 'Trophy Hunter', is that shooting games have limited marketing possibilities. Military games, such as 'Medal Hunter', no longer have these limitations" – he added.
• The presentation shows that the company is preparing for a global launch in May or June. Additionally, the presentation indicated that the game on May 4 had its technical release in Poland, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Mexico, while on May 8 the title debuted in a soft launch in Australia, Germany, the UK, and the US.
