  1. PGE -2.6%, Tauron -3.5%
    1. WIG20 and mWIG40
      1. SWIG80 and others

WIG20 gained 1.8% recovering most of the earlier discount and thus we closed at the highest level this year, once again surpassing the round 3,700 points. The sale of the last batch of shares by Allegro shareholder (private equity funds had been exiting the shareholder base regularly since the company's IPO) resulted in a sharp price jump of almost 7.8%.

        PGE -2.6%, Tauron -3.5%

Lower oil prices benefited companies such as Budimex, while negatively affecting energy company listings (PGE -2.6%, Tauron -3.5%).

This time lower Treasury bond yields did not hurt the banking sector, whose index rose by 2.4%.

After last week's results we still see investor rotation taking profits on LPP (-4.2%) and buying Modivo (+5.2%, but still -23% YTD).

We observed a slightly smaller rebound on the mid-cap index, although it still gains a bit more than WIG20 on a year-to-date basis. Globally, the strongest discounting of Middle East peace was seen in oil prices, which fell 4-5% depending on the type.

This positively impacted the bond market, where 10‑year U.S. Treasury yields fell nearly 4.4%, to the lowest level since the beginning of May. We saw a smaller rebound in precious metals and global exchanges.

After a relatively stronger session on Monday, on Tuesday U.S. indices made gains, with the technology Nasdaq showing higher volatility (-1.7%) compared to the S&P 500 (-0.5%).

Today the most important event of the week on the macroeconomic calendar is the first Federal Reserve meeting under Kevin Warsh’s leadership. While the June decision is expected to be unchanged (3.50-3.75%), the post‑meeting statement and the conference itself will be crucial. Following recent U.S. labor market data, expectations for interest rate hikes have shifted to the end of 2026.

Stabilizing the Middle East reduces the likelihood of hikes, but markets will consider any comments and suggestions about Fed officials’ views on the impact of high energy prices on the U.S. economy.
