The final June session on the Warsaw Stock Exchange ended with gains for the main indices. WIG20 rose by 0.69 percent, while the broad market index WIG gained 0.64 percent.

The turnover reached 2.36 billion zlotys, of which over 2 billion zlotys were allocated to the blue‑chip basket.
From the end‑of‑session perspective, it is evident that in the first phase of the session the Warsaw market operated under downward pressure from the zloty and questions about the future of monetary policy in Poland amid lower‑than‑expected inflation readings.
In the following hours, the stance of the base markets proved more important, although the zloty also began seeking stability on the EURPLN and USDPLN pairs.
Ultimately, the morning decline was turned into a gain, and the session settled into a consolidation of the index with a relatively wide range, but without technical implications.
The daily WIG20 chart drew a candle essentially without a body, with two dynamic wicks, fitting into the index’s oscillation over the previous three sessions.
Today, the index consolidates without losing touch with the 3600‑point level and without seriously attacking support near 2530 points and the resistance line leading the local downtrend. Over a monthly horizon, one can speak of a supply win.
WIG20 finished June in decline, drawing a candle that reinforces the two previous bodies signaling demand failures near 3700 points. In essence, June was the third month in which the index tried to break above 3700 points and returned below the psychological and technical resistance set in April. One can consistently speak of a good quarterly outlook for the index.
In Q2 2026, WIG20 gained 7.38 percent and extended the uptrend to three quarters. The previous similar series – from October 2024 to June 2025 – yielded two quarters of dynamic correction, when a period of gains longer than three quarters occurred for the WIG20 index last time in 2016‑2017.
