Horror and existential drama broke the bank
Bloober Team decisively dominated this year’s Digital Dragons gala. Their survival horror Cronos: The New Dawn won all three statuettes, including the most coveted – for best Polish game of 2025. The production proved unbeatable in the categories of visual design and sound. This is clear evidence that Krakow creators are cementing their position as a global leader in the dark storytelling segment. The team at 11 bit studios also had reasons to celebrate. Their intriguing The Alters earned two awards: best design and best story.
Both studios proved that Polish game development can create deep, maturely narrated titles that attract players like a magnet. Although competition from Dying Light: The Beast by Techland and Tainted Grail trailed the leaders, it was Bloober Team and 11 bit studios that dominated the podium. The stock market, however, views this success solely through the lens of future financial reports. Statuettes delight developers and send a clear signal to players, but investors expect them to translate into real profits and growth in stock prices on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
So far, the black‑horse successes of Digital Dragons have not translated into market results. Bloober Team’s share price fell by a symbolic 0.59% and settled at 25.15 PLN.

Meanwhile, 11 bit studios’ share price reacted very positively to the Krakow news, rising by 3.78% to a peak of 153.60 PLN.

Mobile raids, overseas expeditions and well‑deserved bows
While the main spotlight shone on large PC and console productions, Digital Dragons also reminded us of the strength of other market segments. The best Polish mobile game was announced as the dynamic #DRIVE Rally from Pixel Perfect Dude, which in the race for laurels beat proposals from Boombit among others.
In the foreign production category, the spectacular Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 by Sandfall Interactive triumphed. This title left hits like Ghost of Yotei and the legend‑laden Hollow Knight: Silksong in its wake. A significant and emotional highlight of the entire gala was the presentation of a special award for overall achievements. The statuette went to Grzegorz Wątroba, a distinguished figure who has long built and supported the domestic gaming industry ecosystem.

CI Games’ divorce from Epic Games, a new strategy for Lords of Fallen 2
While the industry celebrated awarded titles, real emotions were stirred on the Warsaw stage by CI Games. The company decided on a strategic shift and terminated its exclusivity agreement with Epic Games for the PC distribution of Lords of Fallen 2.
Instead of a closed model, the developer is opting for an open, wide global distribution across multiple platforms simultaneously. Although abandoning a tech giant sounds risky, it is driven by a cold calculation. Analysis prepared by Maciej Ketliński from DC INC indicates that giving up exclusivity for an open market could increase game revenue by about 116 million PLN in 2026‑2028. In such an (optimistic) scenario, the PC segment will become the key engine driving the entire project.
The share price of CI Games rose by 1.00% to 3.20 PLN.
