The best performer was PMPG, which gained 20%, while the worst session was ended by Silvair (-8.6%).

Negatively highlighted was also KGHM, which lost value today - all because of uncertainty about whether USA-Iran negotiations will take place at all. Throughout the session the copper giant lost 3.5% of its value. Meanwhile gaming company CD Projekt gained 0.35%.

Index WIG closed the session at 133,194.75 points, indicating a decline of 0.65%.

What analysts suggest paying attention to?

Stanisław Byszewski, broker at DM BOŚ, noted in the morning that “WIG20 starts the session close to the reference level, recording about +0.02%, where the biggest activity focuses on KGHM, PKN Orlen and CD Projekt.”

“Negatively the index is affected mainly by KGHM (-1.22%) and PKN Orlen (-0.88%), while on the upside stand out Allegro (+0.45%) and PZU (+0.41%),” he added.

He admitted that geopolitics ruled today’s markets, and that “the key factor remains the development of the USA–Iran line.”

“[It was reported that] Vice President J.D. Vance went to peace talks, whose outcome should be known in the coming days, along with the approaching expiration of the ceasefire, scheduled for wednesday. Investors remain in a state of waiting for the negotiation results, which could set the short‑term direction for the markets,” the expert warned.

In the morning, WIG20 remained “in a short‑term stabilization phase after recent gains, and maintaining current levels favors a scenario of a new approach to local highs.”

“Key levels are 3670 points (resistance) and 3600 points (support), whose breakout could give direction to the next move,” he pointed out the key levels on the chart.

After the first hour of the session, WIG20 remained “close to the opening levels, recording about +0.04%.”

“The index is most negatively affected by KGHM (-1.80%), with high activity, weaker are also mBank (-1.08%) and Modivo (-3.93%). On the upside stand out LPP (+1.51%) and Allegro (+0.88%), with solid participation from PZU (+0.52%) and Dino (+0.66%), balancing pressure from some large components,” the broker added.

According to DM BOŚ expert, the key factor remains the development of the USA–Iran situation, where investors await further signals from ongoing talks.

“Technically, WIG20 remains at resistance around 3670 points, with the further direction depending on the influx of geopolitical signals,” he warned.

Similar sentiment was indicated by Marek Rogalski, chief analyst at DM BOŚ. In his view, “in principle it is still unknown what is happening with US Vice President J.D. Vance.”

“Yesterday he was supposed to fly to Pakistan for negotiations with Iran, but apparently he did not fly and is to do so today. President Trump talks about a great deal for Iran, but Tehran authorities suggest the American negotiation team to “unpack their suitcases.” The Pakistani Prime Minister, who is heavily involved in mediating the negotiations of both sides, suggests extending the truce for another two weeks, which is not very well received by the American side,” he described the information chaos prevailing.
