The latest rise in Bitcoin's value is a classic move triggered by investor uncertainty caused by escalating geopolitical tensions. The liquidation of short positions worth over $175 million makes the situation resemble a “squeeze” scenario against a backdrop of macroeconomic turmoil. Considering the ongoing risk associated with the Strait of Hormuz and uncertain signals regarding a ceasefire, alternative assets could serve as a digital hedge, especially since Bitcoin is currently accepted as a payment method for tolls.

The inflow of funds into institutional ETF funds, the liquidation of short positions, and spot market demand continue to provide strong support, allowing BTC to climb toward the $74,000 level despite persistent uncertainty, as investors increasingly view it as a long-term store of value independent of traditional risk-avoidance behaviors. Volatility remains high as BTC tests the $75,000 range, which could quickly extend or reverse.
