Bitget, the world’s largest universal exchange (UEX), announced today the start of its second year of partnership in supporting the UNICEF Game Changers Coalition (GCC). Since its inception, the coalition has reached over 642,000 young people, parents, and teachers in eight countries, and is entering a new phase of development—introducing modules on financial literacy and artificial intelligence into the curriculum. Blockchain technology content is planned for 2026.

GCC is a global initiative led by the UNICEF Innovation Office, bringing together public and private sector partners to expand access to technology education for young people in developing countries, with a particular focus on girls, who currently make up 52% of participants. Operating in Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa, the coalition supports young people in developing practical digital skills through an innovative curriculum, community‑based educational programs, and on‑site and online gaming hackathons.

Bitget joined the coalition in June 2025 as part of its partnership with UNICEF in Luxembourg, contributing to the broader mission of the coalition to improve digital skills and access to technology among communities with limited access to these resources. In its second year, Bitget will participate in curriculum development and GCC’s geographic expansion.

In its first year of partnership, Bitget supported UNICEF through a range of activities aimed at raising awareness and participation in technology education. One of the most significant events was a visit to Cambodia, where Bitget’s marketing director Ignacio Aguirre met with students, teachers, and local partners involved in digital skills training programs. The visit highlighted how access to basic digital education can create new pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and participation in the digital economy, especially for young women and students from regions with limited access to these resources.

The partnership also supported broader youth engagement initiatives through events and interactive educational experiences. By the end of 2025, Bitget CEO Gracy Chen backed the first global GCC UNICEF Game Jam event, a 40‑day initiative in which young creators from developing economies produced original video games, using mentoring sessions and a self‑paced online course.

“Technology is becoming part of everyday life faster than educational systems can adapt to it” – said Gracy Chen, Bitget CEO. “What particularly caught our attention during this year’s collaboration with UNICEF is the speed at which young people engage as soon as they get access and an opportunity. Our ultimate goal is not only to spread blockchain technology and digital tools, but also to help build trust and long‑term digital and financial knowledge that can create opportunities far beyond cryptocurrencies.”

This update comes at a time when the demand for digital skills is steadily rising worldwide, especially in markets where younger generations increasingly rely on mobile devices but still lack access to traditional technology education pathways. Bitget continues to expand its education‑focused initiatives alongside institutional and ecosystem development, positioning digital skills as a key pillar of long‑term industry growth.

“Too many young people still lack access to the skills that drive the digital transformation shaping today’s economy” – said Thomas Davin, Global Director of UNICEF Innovation Office. “GCC is a clear answer to this need. This initiative brings together industry, governments, and communities so that the next generation gains the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to play a leading role in a technology‑driven economy. By partnering with Bitget, we are expanding our reach to reach even more young people, equipping them with the skills they need.”

In its second year, the partnership will support GCC’s expansion into three additional countries and the implementation of new modules on financial literacy and artificial intelligence in the curriculum within the coalition. Bitget will continue to engage through field visits, executive participation, and support for the coalition’s educational experiences.
