The Paris CAC40 weakened the most, ending the session 0.64% lower after a flat day. Supply advantage was evident in the early hours of Madrid trading, causing the IBEX35 to fall 0.55%.
The London market index also weakened (FTSE100: -0.47%) and the key European index STOXX fell 0.43%. We also saw sell‑offs in Switzerland (SMI: -0.38%) and Italy (FTSE MiB: -0.04%).
The DAX proved resilient, ending the day 0.09% higher. Risk reduction was also seen in debt – 10‑year Bund yields remain above 3%, and Polish yields at 5.548%. Today’s HICP inflation data for the euro zone will be released for March, which preliminary estimates suggest rose to 2.5% YoY from 1.9% in February.

Widespread optimism was evident in Warsaw, where we observed strengthening indices. The biggest winner was the second line of companies – mWIG40 gained exactly 1%.
National blue‑chips showed strength. Companies such as Żabka (+4.86%), CD Projekt (+4.15%), Allegro (+3.21%) and the WIG20 index (+0.80%) closed the day above the line.
Buying pressure translated into a strengthening of the smallest domestic entities – sWIG80 gained 0.72%. The broad market WIG closed in the green, up 0.85%.

Undoubtedly, the iconic moment is the all‑time record achieved by the U.S. S&P500, even amid the ongoing great uncertainty surrounding further actions by the U.S. administration.
The mentioned broad market index strengthened 0.80%, ending at a new ATH – 7026 points.
Optimism prevailed in U.S. technology – the Nasdaq Composite, thanks in part to Microsoft (+4.62%), Broadcom (+4.16%), Tesla (+7.66%), closed in the green, up 1.40%.
The Russell2000 small‑cap index also showed strength, gaining 0.30%.
Pessimism dominated among industrials, causing the Dow Jones to fall 0.15%.
The most important macro data release later in the day will be the U.S. industrial production reading for March.
Morning view of Asian markets brings a breath of optimism.
The Japanese Nikkei is gaining strongly, having already strengthened 2.50% after a bullish session.
The South Korean KOSPI rose just under 2%, and we also see gains in Indian indices, which at the time of comment were up: Sensex (+0.42%) and Nifty (+0.29%).
Buying pressure was also evident in China, where the Hang Seng gained 1.39% and the Shanghai Composite 0.29%.
Morning hours bring further oil discount – the WTI contract trades at 91.55 USD, and Brent at 94.80 USD per barrel.
In the morning, investors head toward precious metals – gold (+0.71%), silver (+1.87%).
