SpaceX IPO. Stock price fell
SpaceX, an American space industry company, plans to sell 555.6 million shares at a price of 135 USD per share as part of a record public offering worth a total of 75 billion USD.
Bloomberg, citing reports from Reuters, emphasizes that the IPO of the company run by Elon Musk is one of the most closely watched public offerings in the world.
Similar business decisions are also planned by giants in the artificial intelligence market, OpenAI and Anthropic.
“The SpaceX offer would be the largest initial public offering in history, more than twice surpassing the 29.4 billion USD raised by Saudi Aramco in 2019,” Bloomberg reminds.
Sources indicate that the terms of the SpaceX IPO may be announced on Wednesday, just before the formal start of the promotion planned for June 4 and the valuation a week later.
“The schedule may, however, shift by a few days,” the agency warns.
According to early estimates, Musk’s space empire could raise at least 1,8 billion USD as part of the offer.

The space sector at a significant discount
The space sector at the beginning of the week recorded significant declines, partially offsetting earlier dynamic gains.
Market pressure was partly due to the so‑called SpaceX halo effect, meaning the strong brand of Elon Musk influences the valuation of the entire industry.
During Monday’s session, companies such as Rocket Lab and Firefly Aerospace saw their shares drop by 15% and 5% respectively.
Shares of Intuitive Machines and AST SpaceMobile fell by about 13% and 7% respectively.
“Investors can expect volatility in the period leading up to the SpaceX IPO and after the launch of Elon Musk’s rocket company’s shares,” reports Barron's.
“The pull of this company is enormous. Its upcoming IPO, expected in the coming days, will raise a record amount of capital and could value it at 2 trillion dollars. SpaceX has shown investors what is possible in space. Its broadband space product Starlink is profitable and growing. Now SpaceX wants to place AI‑based data centers in orbit,” added.
Experts emphasize that the growing interest of investors in the space sector in the near future may cause instability in the stock market, exemplified by Monday’s discount of the mentioned companies.
