The company’s general meeting CD Projekt made a key decision to split last year’s profits.
Bills on paper and a vault locked with four bolts
The total net profit for the 2025 fiscal year of 635,2 million PLN (after reducing the negative value of the undivided result from previous years related to data conversion) amounts to about 609,5 million PLN.
And this huge cash injection entirely feeds the company’s reserve capital.
The market, as usual, would prefer immediate cash gifts in brokerage accounts. The board, however, plays long‑term.
Cutting the current dividend is a move driven by uncompromising implementation of the Group’s strategic goals.
Fans of the “sprinkling coins” (the Witcher) need not pull their hair out, because CD Projekt maintains its official policy from January 2025.
The company’s intention remains to recommend payouts of at least 25% of net profit for the given year. Since now the money stays in the company, in accordance with the promise, the dividend pool will grow appropriately over the next five years, or be used for share buybacks to retire them.

A decade of intensive work and the (un)expected return of the White Wolf
Production processes in the game dev are currently stretched to the limits. Although The Elder Scrolls VI is an extreme case, large AAA titles come out roughly every 5‑6 years for big studios like Santa Monica Studio or native CD Projekt Red.
Nevertheless Redzi want to change that and start publishing games more often, but without turning the studio into a soulless publishing corporation. The plan for the next decade assumes maintaining a unique DNA and avoiding a mass flood of generic open‑world middling titles.
Proof of acceleration is the surprise for players: the third expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with the enigmatic title “Songs of the Past”.
We know the add‑on is being developed in collaboration with Fool’s Theory and will debut in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
However, it will be just a publishing add‑on, because on the horizon the “Witcher 4” is growing stronger, with two sequels slated to appear within six years of release, i.e. by about 2032.
Adding to that the remake of the first Witcher, the mysterious Project Sirius, a full sequel of Cyberpunk 2077, a mobile game in the Witcher universe, and a brand‑new IP under the name Project Hadar.
This is a huge amount of work, which, in the case of parallel production, will shorten the legendary gaps between releases.

Artificial intelligence at the service of people, not instead of them!
Behind these grand plans, a technological revolution is looming, heavily impacting the electronic entertainment industry.
Michał Nowakowski, the studio’s CEO, openly admits that the wave of AI‑first games will arrive sooner than anyone expects. Teams experimenting with generative models can create dozens of prototypes in a few days, and a finished product in a week.
Is this the path for Witcher and Cyberpunk creators? According to Nowakowski, definitely not.
CD Projekt Red relies on the so‑called creators’ argument. AI is meant to be a powerful, advanced hammer in the craftsman’s hands, speeding up the production of graphic assets or rapid testing of mechanics, but it will not replace human imagination, writers, and designers.
The Polish developer does not intend to race against algorithmic assembly line production, as it chooses the position of a studio delivering unique digital works of art.
The market, however, does not buy these promises, because CD Projekt shares still fall by 0.83%, landing at 227.6 PLN.
It is worth noting that expert Mateusz Chrzanowski from Noble Securities on June 18 clearly says “accumulate”, because the expected growth will be almost 10%, to a level of 250 PLN.
Importantly, the target price for the shares was lowered from 283 PLN.
