On Wednesday, the Electric Vehicle company Tesla, founded by the world's richest man, Elon Musk was dropped from the S&P 500 ESG index. The index moved to remove Musk amidst claims of social discrimination and crashes due to the autopilot vehicles. Shortly after Tesla was removed, Musk took to twitter and tweeted that “ESG is a scam”.

There are other factors that lead to the removal of Tesla, such as a lack of publishing details regarding low energy or business conduct codes.
