ByteDance's douyin is testing a type of food delivery service in China. Restaurant owners often broadcast live on Douyin to promote their business. By doing so, they can offer discounts. The user can then redeem this offer and choose the time the food will arrive.
The food delivery industry in China is dominated by Meituan and Ele.me.
However, ByteDance's initial steps in the market suggest that the company wants a piece of the market, and their business model is different from the current market.

Russia's MTS bank has UAE licence
The tougher Western sanctions against Russia have not yet directly targeted telecommunications infrastructure. The fintech unit of the largest Russian mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems -MTS - has received licenses from the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE, like Saudi Arabia, maintains good relations with Moscow despite pressure from the West to help isolate Russia from the invasion of Ukraine, which Moscow calls a "special military operation."
