    This week is busy for the market in terms of news and release of data

    This week is a very busy day for the global markets as many calendar events are due including; European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde, Bank of Englands (BOE) Gov Bailey and Federal Reserve Chairperson Jermone Powell all due to speak. The markets will watch these speakers and look for any clues regarding the future of monetary policy, interest rates and recession concerns.

    In addition to central bank announcements, there are many economic data releases due today that the markets will be watching closely as they will give an indication of the current economic situation, if it has worsened or improved. These economic data released include: US Pending Home Sales (MoM) for May, US Core Durable Goods Orders (MoM) for May, CB Consumer Confidence for June, Australian Retail Sales Data, US Crude Oil Inventories, China’s June Manufacturing PMI, German Unemployment Change for June, US Initial Jobless Claims,

    Some of the more prominent 3 star events include US GDP (QoQ) data for Q1, UK GDP (QoQ) data for Q1, UK GDP (YoY) data for Q1, Canadian GDP (MoM) data for April.
