The countries of Europe, and especially Eastern Europe, were largely dependent on Russia for energy. Russia's aggression against ukraine has caused tensions and the need for independence.
Although Poland has coal deposits, they want to leave for ecological reasons and decide to import other energy resources.
In order to become independent from Russia, Poland decided to supply supplies from Norway, and for this purpose, The Baltic Pipe was launched. The Baltic Pipe will have a capacity of 10 billion m3 per year. This is roughly half of the Polish demand and will replace 100 percent. Russian supplies.
This action is important because Poland will be free from hostile Russian gas manoeuvres. This is especially important today, when Europe has to face the Russian armament of hydrocarbon supplies.
